Stress Management
Stress is your body’s way of responding to any kind of demand or change that requires a physical, mental and/or emotional adjustment. When stressors become overwhelming and there isn’t an outlet to release them, unhealthy consequences begin to appear affecting your health and wellbeing. Signs can consist of:
- Frequent colds and recurring infections.
- Poor judgment, inability to concentrate and procrastination.
- A general negative attitude, excessive worrying, irritability, depression and anxiety.
- Feeling fatigue and general weakness.
- Chronic aches and pains.
- Digestive issues, poor eating habits and weight gain.
- Headaches and migraines.
- Heart disease, chest pain, high/low blood pressure, rapid heartbeat and dizziness.
- Insomnia and poor sleeping patterns.
- Increased addictive tendencies like overeating, alcohol, nicotine or drug consumption.
- Increase nervous habits such as pacing, teeth grinding, trembling and nail-biting.
Everyone experiences stress to some degree so when it is prolonged, stress related illnesses are very common and require a holistic treatment approach.
Our Stress Management Program is uniquely designed for your needs integrating various natural treatment methods. We will help you recognize your stressors, create healthier coping mechanisms, reestablish healthy lifestyle factors like quality sleep, well balanced nutrition, relaxation techniques and leave you with a sense of empowerment.

Weight Management
With high stress and constant demands of a fast paced lifestyle, quick and convenient eating out habits and tendency to overeat with no portion control, maintaining a healthy weight can be tough. If you’ve tried the fad diets and magic formulas and failed to lose the weight before, you may be feeling discouraged and believe that it’s impossible to lose the weight now. These quick fixes don’t work as a long term solution. There are many factors that contribute to improper weight management including:
- Stress and other emotional factors leading to stress hormone (cortisol) imbalances and emotional eating habits.
- Environmental determinants such as excessive intake of refined, fatty foods and a sedentary lifestyle.
- Psychological factors such as a decreased sensitivity to internal cues of hunger, binge eating, and food addictions.
- Hormonal conditions and imbalances such as in hypothyroidism, PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) or post pregnancy.
- Genetic influences.
- Side effects of medications.
The cause of obesity is essentially when food intake (calories) exceeds the energy expenditure. Fat cells, and to a lesser extent muscle and liver cells, throughout the body absorb this and store it as fat. The excessive accumulation of fat is found around various areas of the body especially the thighs, hips, abdomen and organs.
Obesity is a growing concern leading to several major health concerns including:
- Skin disorders.
- Respiratory problems.
- Sleep apnea.
- Chronic musculoskeletal and joint problems.
- Infertility and other hormonal conditions.
- Diabetes and Metabolic Syndrome.
- Digestive problems such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), heartburn and liver/gallbladder disease.
- Cardiovascular disease including high blood pressure, coronary artery disease (CAD) and/or high cholesterol.
- Certain cancers such as hormonal cancers and colon cancer.
Our successful Weight Management Program is uniquely designed for your needs as an integrative approach of various natural treatment methods. We will help you create an enjoyable health promoting diet, incorporate a healthy lifestyle with regular exercise, maintain a positive mental and emotional outlook, and provide nutritional and/or botanical supplementation if weight gain is due to a physiological condition.
